Services are available to individuals and couples who would like to create their family through adoption. We work with you to help you determine what kind of adoption is the best fit for you and educate you on what might appear to be an overwhelming task. We hear from many people  "we want to adopt, but we do not know how to start." If you are moving forward with your plans to adopt, you already know that you need an approved pre-placement report or home study in order to make an adoption a legal process. After providing this service for so many clients, we believe we have a good understanding of how "scary" this step might seem. We are known for our ability to put you at ease and guide you through the process with information and answers. Perhaps you need an expedited report, we would like to learn about your personal needs.

Some prospective adoptive parents are beginning to hear from individuals with an intended pregnancy. This is a challenging and vulnerable position for adoptive parents and we offer support through our birth parent counseling services. We can be available for an intake meeting, ongoing counseling or mediation around adoption topics like communication and hospital plans or just to help you determine if working with this birth parent is the right "match" for you and your family.

Research has shown that adoptions that have involved some degree of adoption counseling are more successful on many levels. Certainly the anticipated grief work can prepare a parent for the emotions that may surface after the birth of their child.
